Teen Park

TeenPark

Although it may seem that not much has been done in the Teen Park over the summer, Flinders Founders Grants Manager Jo Gisby has been working extremely hard applying for grants by filling in applications. Unfortunately 3 applications have been turned down; several more are in the pipe line.

We need money to:

Install grand rails and fun boxes

Improve the fencing at front

Put more equipment in the teen park

Build a pathway from the front of the Teen Park

Provide litter bins

Install lighting

As you can see above one of our aims is to provide litter bins and the grant for this has been approved and we have the grant. However Flinders Founders also received 3000 but this is still not enough.

Age limits

Everything in the Teen Park is for the enjoyment of 11-19 years old. Please take care when using the equipment.

UNDER 11S MUST BE SUPERVISED.

Welcoming signage

Welcoming signage will soon be going up at the teen park thanks to a grant of 300 from Flash Fund. It is hoped that this will not be vandalized as one of the signs current have.

Bonfire Night

Flinders Founders will be selling glow sticks at bonfire night on the 7th November at the community centre. So bring lots of money.

Graffiti Artist

With a 600 grant from Youth Opportunities Fund James Mayle, a well known graffiti artist has been employed to work with 10 people on October 30th and 31st to design and paint artwork on the skate park.

THE TEENPARK WILL BE CLOSED ON THE 30TH AND 31ST WHILE THE WORK IS BEING DONE.

Open Day

On Saturday the 1st November to celebrate the art work there will be an open day at the teen park. There will be a BBQ, Drinks and Competitions. Time; 12:00-2:00
