IDEA was set up to improve Donington for the whole community. It is vital for organisations such as ours to attract volunteers. In the years sinse IDEA was established, it has been fortune to have the skills of some very hard working people. If you think you can help weather that be helping to organise events or even if you are an avid facebooker who can put up post on our facebook page then email us.

Other ways you can help us

  • Administration - help take minutes at our monthly meetings then type them up and distribute to committee members, help prepare agendas, help prepare funding applications, other ad hoc admin tasks.
  • Park maintenance - help with cutting grass, weeding, fence & equipment repair, other manual tasks
  • Events - assist with the organisation and/or running of our fundraising events including ‘Fun in the Park’ and Fireworks Night
  • Newsletter deliveries - could you spare an hour, 4 times a year to deliver copies of the newsletter just down your street?
If you are interested in getting involved with IDEA in any of these roles please contact any IDEA committee member or feel free to come along to one of our monthly committee meetings held on the first Monday of every month at Select Timber offices, off Mill Lane (behind the duck pond). There you can find out for yourself what IDEA is doing for Donington and what you could do for IDEA.

If you have any articles about the village or any suggestions for inclusion in the website the contact us. Just click on the envelope!
